**Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.**

Enshadowed (Nevermore #2) by Kelly Creagh

Expected Publication Date: August 28th, 2012

Publisher: Atheneum Books for Young Readers

From Amazon:

The second book in a modern gothic romance trilogy channeling the dark brilliance of Edgar Allan Poe.

While Varen remains a prisoner in a perilous dream world where the terrifying stories of Edgar Allan Poe come to life, Isobel travels to Baltimore to confront the dark figure known throughout the world as the Poe Toaster. This man, the same man who once appeared to Isobel in her dreams and abandoned her in Varen’s nightmare world, holds the key to saving Varen.

But when Isobel discovers a way to return to this dream world, she finds herself swept up in a realm that not only holds remnants of Edgar Allan Poe’s presence, but has also now taken on the characteristics of Varen’s innermost self. It is a dark world of fear, terror, and anger.

Varen is changed. And now Isobel must face a new adversary—one who also happens to be her greatest love.

Why I Can’t Wait: I first saw Nevermore at the library last summer and picked it up, not knowing much about it at all. I ended up loving it and being totally fascinated with the world, and perhaps a bit confused. I was ecstatic when I saw there was going to be a sequel and I would only have to wait a few months, to January! Total score on that because my friends and I were just talking about how we were getting into all these series and having to wait a whole year and it was going to kill us! LOL But here was this amazing book and I only needed to wait a few months! Then one day I noticed it was pushed back to August. *cries* So I did end up having to wait over a year! But I am really looking forward to getting back into this Edgar Allen Poe type dream world and trying to figure things out.

What are you waiting on this week?
