Every Day by David Levithan

Expected Publication Date: August 28th, 2012

Publisher: Knopf Books for Young Readers

From Goodreads:

Every day a different body. Every day a different life. Every day in love with the same girl.

Every morning, A wakes in a different person’s body, a different person’s life. There’s never any warning about where it will be or who it will be. A has made peace with that, even established guidelines by which to live: Never get too attached. Avoid being noticed. Do not interfere.

It’s all fine until the morning that A wakes up in the body of Justin and meets Justin’s girlfriend, Rhiannon. From that moment, the rules by which A has been living no longer apply. Because finally A has found someone he wants to be with—day in, day out, day after day.

With his new novel, David Levithan has pushed himself to new creative heights. He has written a captivating story that will fascinate readers as they begin to comprehend the complexities of life and love in A’s world, as A and Rhiannon seek to discover if you can truly love someone who is destined to change every day.

Why I Can’t Wait: The premise! I almost overlooked this book, for I am not huge on the cover, but I am glad I read further! I love this unique take on a sort of fobidden love story. I feel like this is going to break my heart in all the right ways and hopefully put it back together again. Added bonus: Boy POV! :)

I’m waiting on this one too and featured it a few weeks ago. I love the premise. What a crazy interesting life?! I have no clue how the love story will work out. I think I will be very sad for him. Should be super interesting! Thanks for stopping by!

The premise definitely sounds good, and male POVs are usually pretty fun, but it sounds like it will be sad! :( I am just terrible with books that make me sad.. I normally am crazy about forbidden love stories, but this just sounds more sad than exciting. Might still have to give it a go though when it comes out. Thanks for sharing!

Great choice! I just read the excerpt from BEA Buzz Books (free for Kindle, and on NG) and at first I didn’t know what to think of it, then I finished the excerpt and now I have to read it! Here’s my WoW post! ~ Jen @ A Book and a Latte

Yeah, not such a fan of the cover but I like the premise. Kind of reminds me a bit of Quantum Leap. You’re probably WAAAAY to young for that bit of 80’s nostalgia but it’s got body-switching, too.
