A Kid’s Perspective: Judging a Book By Its Cover (3)

August 10, 2012 Book Covers, Breaking Dawn, Cover Art, Eclipse, Judging a Book by its Cover, New Moon, Stephenie Meyer, Twilight 13

Inspired by an article on Babble called, Judging a Book by Its Cover: A 6-year-old Guesses What Classic Novels Are All About, I have asked my 5 year old what his thoughts are on a few Young Adult covers lying around the house. To take it a step further, I also had him make some cover art!

Today’s cover art is the Twilight Edition!

“I think this is about somebody that lost an apple and is trying to get it, but there is trouble.”

Cover Art:

“Feathers are falling from a tree. And it’s about a feather that somebody lost.”

Cover Art:

“Somebody is cutting a lot of scarfs.”

Cover Art:

“I think it’s about board games. They are eating and drinking while playing chess.”

Cover Art:

He cracks me up while doing these. I hope you enjoyed Shawn’s thoughts and artwork this week! Let me (and Shawn) know what you think! 🙂

This is such a cute and great idea for a feature! Love that you are able to incorporate your son into the blog! I love the art and his little predictions!!!
