A Kid’s Perspective: Judging a Book By Its Cover (5)

Inspired by an article on Babble called, Judging a Book by Its Cover: A 6-year-old Guesses What Classic Novels Are All About, I have asked my 5 year old what his thoughts are on a few Young Adult covers lying around the house. To take it a step further, I also had him make some cover art!

This week is The Wolves of Mercy Falls Edition!

“This is about a wolf. The wolf is looking in the forest for food in the fall because some of the leaves are falling down.”

Cover Art:

“It’s about a green wolf that is chasing a person because they are playing chase.”

Cover Art:

“The wolf was looking for stuff to do in the forest and now they are playing hide and seek. The wolf when he’s hiding, he stands somewhere. And the person is hiding and he’ll climb up the tree.”

Cover Art:

I hope you enjoyed Shawn’s thoughts and artwork this week! Shawn had fun with these because he says he had never drawn a wolf before. LOL Let me (and Shawn) know what you think! 🙂
