Top Ten Tuesday (2): Top Ten Books on My Fall TBR

September 4, 2012 Fall 2012 Releases, TBR, Top Ten Tuesday 32

**Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created by The Broke and Bookish.**

I suck at making lists but I told myself I would try this meme more often because it seems like so much fun and a great way to learn more about my fellow bloggers and give them a chance to learn more about me!

This week is an easy one for me because I am dying for so many fall releases to add to my TBR so I will focus on them! (And apparently neglect the books already on my shelves gathering dust -LOL)

Time Between Us by Tamara Ireland Stone
Publication Date: October 9th
Seriously guys, I think this has been my most anticipated fall read for quite awhile! Time travel seems to be something I am really loving right now and of course I am always a sucker for a good romance. PLUS there sounds like we will be spending a lot of time in the 90’s which has me SUPER excited, since that is when I was a teen!

Reached (Matched #3) by Ally Condie
Publication Date: November 13th
Though I enjoy this series immensely, the 2nd book, Crossed, wasn’t my favorite. It felt a lot like a filler sophmore book to me. BUT I still look forward to finding out how it all ends in this fall’s conclusion!

Black City by Elizabeth Richards
Publication Date: November 13th
Two words: Forbidden. Romance. Need I say more?

The Evolution of Mara Dyer (Mara Dyer #2) by Michelle Hodkin
Publication Date: October 23rd
Noah *sigh*, and one killer of a cliffhanger at the end of The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer has left me aching to hold a copy of this sequel in my hands!

Through to You by Emily Hainsworth
Publication Date: October 2nd
I LOVE the concept of a parallel world! I don’t recall reading anything like it before but I am dying for this one! Also, it sounds heartbreaking, which of course is what I like. πŸ™‚

Rebel Heart (Dust Lands #2) by Moira Young
Publication Date: October 30th
Blood Red Road was one of those books that totally took me by surprise! A truly amazing dystopian, one of my favorites, with a kick ass female protagonist and total originality. If you haven’t started this series, you should!

Touched by Corrine Jackson
Publication Date: November 27th
The main character can heal people with her touch but takes on the injuries as her own. Woah. PLUS, it has those two words I love again: Forbidden. Romance.

Poison Princess by Kelsey Cole
Publication Date: October 2nd
Hallucinations, that coincide with apocalyptic events, is already enough to draw me to a novel. Throw in a bad boy and I am SOLD! I won an ARC so I WILL be reading it very very soon!

Breathe by Sarah Crossan
Publication Date: October 2nd
Guys, I love dystopian. When I first saw this one, I immediately added it to my TBR. So happy we are almost at the publish date, FINALLY.

The Shadow Society by Marie Rutkoski
Publication Date: October 30th
This one has mystery and suspense along with the paranormal aspects. And what is up with the new boy? I need to know! I have this on netgalley so I hope to read it soon!

Okay, I was really good about keeping it at only 10, BUT these next few would have made my list if I hadn’t already read them!

Ten by Gretchen McNeil
Publication Date: September 18th
OMG this book is KILLER! Which is appropriate since it is about a killer terrorizing a group of kids on an island. It totally brought me back to my teen years and my love for the Scream movies! MY REVIEW!

Venom by Fiona Paul
Publication Date: October 30th
EPIC FLAILING! This book was so amazing! The atmosphere of Renaissance Venice was breathtaking and romantic. The murder mystery, enticing. And of course there was Falco… *swoon* (Review coming soon!)

More by T.M. Franklin
Publication Date: October 4th
An excellent debut novel! It has an interesting paranormal aspect that I have never read before and one that you find yourself unraveling the mystery of. What exactly is it? Well I can’t tell you! You’ll have to find out for yourself! (Review and blog tour coming soon!)

Huh. Not much contemporary fiction up in that list. Must be a good time for paranormals, thrillers, and apocalyptic worlds near the fall months and of course in time for Halloween. Seriously though, some really amazing reads coming up in the next few months.

I would love to hear what books everyone else is excited for this fall! Let me know in the comments below, or leave a link if you got one! πŸ™‚

  1. Story Seekers

Oh we forgot Ten and Rebel Heart! I love Blood Red Road and couldn’t wait for the sequel. And as for Ten, that one is going to an awesome thriller.

Thanks for stopping by ours :)!

  2. BookBreather

We have a couple of the same books on our lists! I know a lot of people are excited about Rebel Heart but I haven’t even read Blood Red Road yet, so I need to get on that. Excellent choices!

  3. callusedfingers

I had a hard time keeping it to ten, so I rolled 3 books into one number to keep it at ten. πŸ˜€ They’re all from the same series, so it’s kosher, right?

  4. quinnsbooknook

There really was a terrible cliff hanger at the end of The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer. Talk about frustrating. I really felt like we didn’t get a whole lot of answers in the first volume. Hopefully more in volume II.

  5. Nereyda @Mostly YA Book Obsessed

These are all REALLY good picks. My top pick from this list is Poison Princess. The cover, just look at that gorgeous cover! I want it, I need it like now!

My list would end up being like 50 or more books. I suck at making list…

Time Between Us and Black City sound AMAZING. And of course, I’m just as excited as you are for The Evolution of Mara Dyer hehe x) I really need to finish Crossed before Reached comes out though and I really can’t wait to have the whole series of beautiful covers on my shelf! Fantastic list c:

The covers for the Matched series are definitely gorgeous. Sadly, I bought the ebooks. I had just gotten my nook right before I read Matched so I was on an ebook splurge. Now I have to keep the same format for the rest of them. I’m a dork about it. lol But I would love to have the covers on my shelf!

  7. Reading Angel

I’m looking forward to EVERY book on your list (except Evolution which I’ve already read and loved). Breathe and Ten both almost made my Top Ten this week!

  8. YA Book Queen

A definite YES to The Evolution of Mara Dyer!! I am so excited for that book.

Fabulous list! I’m looking forward to many of your choices, too πŸ™‚

  9. Fiona Paul

So glad you liked VENOM, Ms. Sara πŸ™‚ *Spoiler* The sequel is even better! (I had someone who is not me verify this today, heh).

    Just wanted to say:
    1. Thanks for featuring VENOM
    2. So jealous you already got to read TEN
    3. BLACK CITY is epic amazingness and I am all kinds of in lust, er, love with THE BOY
