On this stop on the Stitch Blog Tour, I am pleased to share with you my review!

From Goodreads:

Her heart races, her muscles coil, and every impulse in Alessa’s body screams at her to run… but yet she’s powerless to move.

Still struggling to find her footing after the sudden death of her parents, the last thing college freshman Alessa has the strength to deal with is the inexplicable visceral pull drawing her to a handsome ghostly presence. In between grappling with exams and sorority soirees – and disturbing recurring dreams of being captive in a futuristic prison hell – Alessa is determined to unravel the mystery of the apparition who leaves her breathless. But the terrifying secret she uncovers will find her groping desperately through her nightmares for answers.

Because what Alessa hasn’t figured out yet is that she’s not really a student, the object of her obsession is no ghost, and her sneaking suspicions that something sinister is lurking behind the walls of her university’s idyllic campus are only just scratching the surface…

The opening installment in a twist-laden trilogy, Stitch spans the genres of paranormal romance and dystopian sci-fi to explore the challenges of a society in transition, where morality, vision, and pragmatism collide leaving the average citizen to suffer the results.

~My Thoughts~

The synopsis AND cover instantly grabbed my attention on this one! I was beyond ecstatic when the author contacted me and asked if I would join the Blog Tour!

I truly enjoy the concept of a ghost story, especially with a romance brewing under the surface. What was great about this one was that the ghost aspect was mixed with time travel. Yes, time travel! Alessa and Isaac are from two different times, living in the same house. But it isn’t just Aleesa seeing the ghost of Isaac in the past, we discover he can also see what appears to be Aleesa’s ghost! Whaaaat? Alessa is from the present so how is that possible, right? Well you soon find out! But wait! This is where things got really interesting. At just over the halfway point, the story takes a totally 180 from everything I thought! I didn’t see it coming whatsoever. Everything you thought you knew about not only the plot, but the characters as well, gets thrown out the window with a spin that throws us into a totally different direction. I commend the author for pulling this off so seamlessly. It was hard to put the book down from that moment on because I wanted to see what else could be thrown my way. The author truly did a remarkable job crafting and intertwining the mix of genres into one exciting read.

There were a couple pieces of the puzzle that I am still a little confused on. And the ‘dream’ sequences, at times, were a little confusing to distinguish at first. But these things were really minor issues for me and did not retract from my enjoyment. I look forward to what awaits us in the next installment!

I highly recommend this one to fans of paranormal, sci-fi, dystopian and post-apocalyptic elements! This is one excellent mashup!

I love the bright colored eyes on the cover! The book sounds really interesting, I love when an author is able to pull of a major plot twist without the reader suspecting anything. I want to pick it up just for that reason!
