A Kid’s Perspective: Judging a Book By Its Cover (13)

December 14, 2012 Book Covers, Cover Art, Designs by Shawn, Ex-Mas, Judging a Book by its Cover, Kate Brian 12

Inspired by an article on Babble called, Judging a Book by Its Cover: A 6-year-old Guesses What Classic Novels Are All About, I have asked my 6 year old what his thoughts are on a few Young Adult covers lying around the house. To take it a step further, I also had him make some cover art!

I was feeling jolly and in the Christmas spirit, so I picked up another Christmas read and my kiddo decided this was to be the cover of the week!

“I think Ex-mas is about a candy cane that someone was going to eat. It is on the table and it broke so then their hands got really sticky.”

I hope you enjoyed Shawn’s thoughts and artwork this week! Since a couple other blogs have expressed interest in doing something similar, I have decided to add a linky tool, so that you can also check out what they are doing as well! I hope you will give them a look see!

Don’t forget to let me (and Shawn) know what you think! 🙂

Thought this was a fun feature so I got my kiddo to play along as well. Shawn’s blurb is excellent. No one likes sticky candy cane hands. 🙂
