For the next few days, I will be giving you all my Top 10 lists for 2012! Today is my favorite books I’ve read this year, whether they were published in 2012, or not.
Here we go! (And in no particular order)
I am pretty sure this will be on most lists I’ll see. It’s THAT good. It is one of those books that makes you laugh and then snot snob into an entire box of tissues. It is full of memorable characters and quotes that I will never forget. Not only does it make my list for 2012, but also will remain one of all-time favorite reads.
It’s a hefty book, but full of love, drama, and action. I love the mob aspect as well as how it taught me about how strong an issue human trafficking is. There is movie buzz and I for one cannot wait for the sequel! MY REVIEW
FOUR! *sigh* Love him so much. Divergent was by far one of my favorite reads in 2011 and this sequel did not let me down this year! MY REVIEW
This book blew me away! The writing was so gorgeous and truly transported me back in time to the beautiful Renaissance Venice. The plot was sexy and mysterious and I just adored Falco so much. MY REVIEW
This series came out of nowhere! I never expected to love these books as much as I did and I sincerely hope more people will give them a chance. They are out there and a very different sci-fi/dystpoian read than I have ever read, but it is oh so worth it. MY REVIEW 1 | MY REVIEW 2 | MY REVIEW 3
My favorite angel series! And I love angel books. I found myself conflicted between the love interests in this one a bit more than the first (though I still lean towards Team Tucker). I am so excited to see how this series ends next month!
Day and June! Both awesome kick-ass characters. They come from such different worlds but are so alike in many ways. The ending left me anxious for more!
Woah. When I read this book I saw it as an awesome sci-fi movie in my head. Some of the elements are crazy but it kept me on the edge of my seat, wanting more!
I don’t know what Cassandra Clare does, but she kills me with every book! The return of the evil Sebastian and his connection to Jace was creepy. But the moments where the real Jace showed through? *sigh* Just reinstated why I love him to begin with. MY REVIEW
Another awesome dystopian! I love a good childhood romance so it was great to have that between Ember and Chase in their past and watch them try to work through the obstacles that got in their way.
This book was amazing! It had a moment or two that surprised the hell out of me! And I love the deep friendship between the boys. MY REVIEW
The letters passed back and forth between Eliot and Kai were the perfect touch to add such depth to the their relationship in the present. Bonus: It’s a standalone. MY REVIEW
Going back through my reads this year to make this list made me want to reread them all! Can’t wait to see what 2013 will bring. What books were your favorites for the year? Links if you got ’em!
