From Goodreads:

They say first love never dies…

From critically acclaimed author Kate Ellison comes a heartbreaking mystery of mental illness, unspoken love, and murder. When sixteen-year-old artist Olivia Tithe is visited by the ghost of her first love, Lucas Stern, it’s only through scattered images and notes left behind that she can unravel the mystery of his death.

There’s a catch: Olivia has gone colorblind, and there’s a good chance she’s losing her mind completely–just like her mother did. How else to explain seeing (and falling in love all over again with) someone who isn’t really there?

With the murder trial looming just nine days away, Olivia must follow her heart to the truth, no matter how painful. It’s the only way she can save herself.

This sounds really sad! I’ll have to wait to hear if it has a happy ending lol Probably not if her first love it dead and visiting her. Sounds like a good emotional mystery. Thanks for stopping by!

I won’t remember, even it I put you in my links. Fling me an email when you read this. This was on my friend’s Rummanah’s list last week and boy did it strike a chord with me. I WISH my first love had died. Then he wouldn’t have tortured me my senior year of high school! Of course, Karma is a Bit** so he got his. Still I really need to know how good this book is!

Oh, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with a 30 something or even 40 something person reading YA and loving it! I have two boys as well. And I love the look of your blog!

Yay — I got it too. My post office likes to play mind games with me and tell me I have mail in my box when I don’t and vice versa.

I have a TON of Jan and Feb reading to do so won’t get to this right away but can’t wait to see what you think!
