A Kid’s Perspective: Judging a Book By Its Cover (24)

March 1, 2013 Book Covers, Cover Art, Designs by Shawn, Jennifer Lynn Barnes, Judging a Book by its Cover, Nobody 18

Inspired by an article on Babble called, Judging a Book by Its Cover: A 6-year-old Guesses What Classic Novels Are All About, I have asked my 6 year old what his thoughts are on a few Young Adult covers lying around the house. To take it a step further, I also had him make some cover art!

“Somebody is looking at a girl because they are going to start playing clock (it’s a game, mom).”

Cover Art:

He then went on to explain to me all about the game of clock. lol I hope you enjoyed Shawn’s thoughts and artwork this week! Since a couple other blogs have expressed interest in doing something similar, I have decided to add a linky tool, so that you can also check out what they are doing as well! I hope you will give them a look see!

Don’t forget to let us know what you think! πŸ™‚

Awww this is such an great post Sara! My niece and younger sister are always checking out the covers to my books and trying to make their own interpretations, I think I may have to get them to do this too! Also Shawn’s drawing totally rocks! πŸ™‚
