The explosive finale to Marie Lu’s New York Times bestselling LEGEND trilogy—perfect for fans of THE HUNGER GAMES and DIVERGENT!

He is a Legend.
She is a Prodigy.
Who will be Champion?

June and Day have sacrificed so much for the people of the Republic—and each other—and now their country is on the brink of a new existence. June is back in the good graces of the Republic, working within the government’s elite circles as Princeps Elect while Day has been assigned a high level military position. But neither could have predicted the circumstances that will reunite them once again. Just when a peace treaty is imminent, a plague outbreak causes panic in the Colonies, and war threatens the Republic’s border cities. This new strain of plague is deadlier than ever, and June is the only one who knows the key to her country’s defense. But saving the lives of thousands will mean asking the one she loves to give up everything he has. With heart-pounding action and suspense, Marie Lu’s bestselling trilogy draws to a stunning conclusion.

Why I Can’t Wait: If you’ve read the first two books in this series, Legend and Prodigy, then you know exactly why it is I cannot wait for this finale. If you haven’t read these books yet, what are you waiting for?! Legend was an amazing dystopian debut but it was the sequel that totally blew me away. And that ending!! GAH! I’ve been thinking a lot about this book lately and I don’t even care that it doesn’t have a cover yet. I just need it to be in my life, ASAP!

**EDIT** JUST added the new cover to the post! OMG I’m even more excited!!!!** (source)

I can’t believe that the third book is coming out in a few months and I still haven’t read the previous two. Huh I must catch up. Great pick 🙂

Sara I have seen so many of my blogging friends go on about this series. I actually have the first two books as well, but just not had the time to start them. I’m glad that you don’t have to wait too long for the release of Champion. Great pick Sara! 🙂

I haven’t read anything in this post because I still have no managed to get my hands on PRODIGY! It’s so frustrating! I want to know what happen next but none of the places selling books in my area have it on the shelf! It’s ridiculous.

Anyway, I’m going to have to resort to online bookstores, just so I can start anticipating CHAMPION with you.

Love this series!!! I am so pissed at myself that I totally spaced on the signing she just did here recently. Too much other stuff going on, I guess. 🙁 I’m dying for this one, too…that ending broke my heart. Like, some cliffies you know the characters can come back from, but THAT? *cries* Is it November yet?

Aww, that’s too bad that you missed it. Maybe you’ll have another chance down the road. I was shocked and crying with that ending! NEED to know how it ends. But also scared.

I still haven’t read this series. I know… so bad! There are just so many good books, and I just don’t have enough time to read them all. Ho hum… I think I need to quit my job and read full time. 😀

  7. Beneath the Moon and Stars

You are not alone! I too am dying for this pretty. That ending was not okay ever. At least we don’t have too terribly long to wait! It could be longer :). Amazing pick this week <3

I met Marie Lu at a book signing! She is the sweetest person ever. I have her first two books, but haven’t had the opportunity to read them yet, but I love dystopian, and can’t wait to read this series. I didn’t even know she was coming out with a third book soon! How exciting! I probably wait, so I can read all three books in the series back to back.

I seriously need to start this series! I’ve read the first five pages like ten times but I still never get past them (even thought they are VERY good)! Great pick!
