Any Rochesterians Out There?

June 10, 2013 Book Club, Rochester 5

Hey guys! I’m looking for any Young Adult readers located in the Rochester New York area who may want to join a book club! If you are familiar with the area, then you probably know about a town called Brockport, which is home to SUNY Brockport. What you may or may not know is there is this awesome indie book store in town called Lift Bridge Book Shop.

As someone who grew up in Brockport and went to school there, I have a lot of fond memories of the children’s programs they provide as well as buying college textbooks there as I grew older.

Months ago I expressed interest in signing up for a Young Adult Book Club. I’ve never been a part of one, but I thought it would be a great way to branch out and talk books with some local readers. So I’m working with the staff in hopes of increasing some interest and getting the ball rolling!

I realize most of you all are not from near me but I’m hoping that perhaps this post can reach a couple local readers. It’s not a huge time commitment, maybe once a month. And if you are shy, trust me, so am I! This is a huge deal for me but I really think this can be great! Think of all the fun we can have! AAAW! I love indie bookstores! I just discovered the cutest one really close to me! I wish I lived near you so I could totally join in! But I’ll spam it on Twitta to share the word around!

    Have SO much fun!

Unfortunately I don’t have a twitter, but I do have a Goodreads! I’m your follower that has a book with the words ‘once upon a time’ as my icon (Emily).
