‘Waiting On’ Wednesday (62): Ashes to Ashes by Melissa C. Walker

July 10, 2013 Ashes to Ashes, Katherine Tegen Books, Melissa C. Walker, Waiting on Wednesday 38

**Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.**

Expected Publication Date: December 23rd 2013

Publisher: Katherine Tegen Books

From Goodreads:

The book is the first in a two-book series, and it’s about a girl named Callie, whose life is cut short by a tragic accident.

When she dies, instead of the nothingness she expects, she finds an ethereal plane called the Prism, in which you are taught to haunt your loved ones, to help them move on from your death.

It’s both painful and beautiful, and Callie struggles to find peace there. But there is also danger in this beyond: Ghosts who will do anything, and hurt anyone, in order to live again.

Why I Can’t Wait: Anyone else thinking of Ghost too? Love the movie and love the influence in this premise. I also really enjoyed the author’s last book, Unbreak My Heart when I read it last summer so I’m familiar with her writing. And guys, ghosts! Haunting. Tragedy. Heartbreak. Those words pop into mind as I read the blurb so I can’t wait to see how it all plays out.
