**Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.**
Publication Date: January 28th 2014Publisher: Harlequin Teen
From Goodreads:Nothing should come between best friends, not even boys. ESPECIALLY not boys.Natalie and Brooke have had each other’s backs forever. Natalie is the quiet one, college bound and happy to stay home and watch old movies. Brooke is the movie—the life of every party, the girl everyone wants to be.Then it happens—one crazy night that Natalie can’t remember and Brooke’s boyfriend, Aiden, can’t forget. Suddenly there’s a question mark in Natalie and Brooke’s friendship that tests everything they thought they knew about each other and has both girls discovering what true friendship really means.
Why I Can’t Wait: I just heard about this one this week and I’m already super excited for it! Sounds like there is a true test of friendship involved. I may or may not have been in an extremely close situation as this in high school (and we are still very close to this day) so I’m rooting for these girls and their friendship already. Can’t wait to see how the author handles this storyline.

I’m usually not a fan of love triangles but if this focuses on the girls friendship I would definitely read it. Thanks for sharing. ~Sheri

I’ve been getting more and more into YA contemporary reads and this one sounds fabulous. I’ll be adding it to my TBR list. It kind of reminds me of Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin. Great pick!
Sara @ Forever 17 Books
Oooh, I’ll have to check that one out too, thanks!
Brandi Kosiner
This sounds good. Hope you get to read it soon!

OMG, I love books like this! Books that aren’t black and white and force you to really think. If something happened between the best friend and the boyfriend, does that make them bad people? My first answer would be yes, but I love when an author makes me really think about it 🙂
Adding this one to my goodreads tbr right now!
Sara @ Forever 17 Books
Yes, agree to everything you just said!
Katie
I can’t wait to read this one and this is the first time I’ve seen the cover. I really like it. I’ve enjoyed Paige Harbison’s previous books so I’ll have to get my hands on a copy of this on as soon as possible! Great pick!

Anything to Have you sounds like a brilliant book Sara, I love it when two friends friendship ends up being really tested. I definitely will be on the lookout for this too closer to it’s release date! Thanks for putting this on my radar! 🙂
Sara @ Forever 17 Books
So do I! Because that’s a big part of high school, in my opinion. lol

Jennifer Messerschmidt
Ooohhh this seems like a bad boyfriend stealing type of situation?!?! Can’t remember though? Maybe she was drunk? No excuse though. Luckily I was never in any situation like this probably mostly because my friends knew I’d beat them up if they ever dared LOL
My WOW
Sara @ Forever 17 Books
LOL
Michelle Santiago
i haven’t heard of this one but now i’m excited too! the description is vague but now i want to know what happened. i hope they’re still friends in the end because usually with this story trope the friendship doesn’t survive by the end of the novel. awesome pick!
hope you can stop by my WoW.

I hope they work it out too and yes, it is a little vague, which kinda makes me more curious.

I just saw this one for the first time yesterday. I was just talking about this type of situation in a review a couple of days ago and how often it happened in high school. There was always this type of drama-rama going on between the girls in my (pretty large) social group. I’m definitely excited for this one, too. Great pick!

I’m pretty curious as well. I like that the book deals with friendship and not JUST the romance, or so the summary seems. Nice!
Sara @ Forever 17 Books
Yes, I like that too. Friendships are so important at that age.

Same here…and the girl bond triumphed. Yay! First I’ve seen of this one, but I’m definitely adding it to my TBR.
