Fracture Me (Shatter Me #2.5) by Tahereh Mafi
Publication Date: December 17th 2013
Publisher: HarperCollins

From Goodreads:

In this electrifying sixty-page companion novella to the New York Times bestselling Shatter Me series, discover the fate of the Omega Point rebels as they go up against The Reestablishment. Set during and soon after the final moments of Unravel Me, Fracture Me is told from Adam’s perspective.

As Omega Point prepares to launch an all-out assault on The Reestablishment soldiers stationed in Sector 45, Adam’s focus couldn’t be further from the upcoming battle. He’s reeling from his breakup with Juliette, scared for his best friend’s life, and as concerned as ever for his brother James’s safety. And just as Adam begins to wonder if this life is really for him, the alarms sound. It’s time for war.

On the battlefield, it seems like the odds are in their favor—but taking down Warner, Adam’s newly discovered half brother, won’t be that easy. The Reestablishment can’t tolerate a rebellion, and they’ll do anything to crush the resistance . . . including killing everyone Adam has ever cared about.

Fracture Me sets the stage for Ignite Me, the explosive finale in Tahereh Mafi’s epic dystopian series. It’s a novella not to be missed by fans who crave action-packed stories with tantalizing romance like Divergent by Veronica Roth, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, and Legend by Marie Lu.

Why I Can’t Wait: Well, besides absolutely loving this series with a passion, I am a HUGE Team Adam supporter and here we finally get to hear from him! Yep, that’s right, TEAM ADAM! Warner is a great character and all, but for Juliette I am all about Adam. Unravel Me could not sway me! I’m not a big novella reader but this one is a must for me. I realize I may be in the minority at this point but I’m rooting for my boy and hoping this novella sets the stage up for all I am hoping for in the last book, Ignite Me. Don’t even get me started on that cover… stunning once again!

I could stare at this cover for hours. I love the eye and feathers. Not to mention the colors. Truly amazing. I cannot wait to read this book. Great pick 🙂

Yay, another Adam fan! Yes, Warner is complex and dark, Chapter 62, blah blah, but what he feels for Juliette is an obsession, not love, I just have to say. I have a feeling I’m going to be disappointed with how this love story turns out, but I am excited about this novella. I’m not a big novella fan either, but I’ll be reading this one. Great pick!

Girl after my own heart! Warner WHO?! Haha, sorry but seriously … Warner is just blech. Can’t wait for this novella!

And these COVERS. Definitely agree with you – something I’m proud to parade on my bookshelf

Well, typically, I’m not a huge fan of novellas that are companions to big series. They just seem kind of strange to me and are usually a bit overpriced. HOWEVER, I got to read the chapter sampler for IGNITE ME and after reading those first 8 chapters and finding out what I did, I really want to read this now. I think it’s a great idea that Mafi had to show us Omega Point’s battle since we didn’t get to experience that. Juliette was captured so early!

I didn’t even realise that this books release date was just around the corner. It feels like I need some sort of fix from Tahereh Mafi, and I need it soon. I do hope that this time this book will be available for us readers in the UK too. Warner kind of swayed me in Unravel Me, but I will be looking forward to getting Adam’s thoughts! Wonderful pick Sara!

I didn’t know this was about Adam! I totally respect your side, but YOU CRAZY GIRL. I’m such a Warner fan, especially after Adam annoyed me in Unravel Me 🙂 I hope you get this!
