**Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created by The Broke and Bookish.**
Hey guys! This week’s Top Ten Tuesday topic was a rewind free week which means I got to revisit one I’ve missed previously. At first I wasn’t sure what to do. I mean, I know there have been topics I was bummed I missed but my mind drew a blank. I knew I should have written those down somewhere. lol But then I saw this topic and just knew it would be a good one because, well, there are a lot of books I have yet to read. I often feel pretty behind. I’ll probably kick myself for all the ones I’ve forgotten to add on the list but check out my top ten:
1. Bloodlines series by Richelle Mead
If you would have asked me a few months ago, Vampire Academy would have been on this list right there with Bloodlines. Luckily I finally got to that series after Christmas when I binge read them all. Part of what drew attention to both of these series was when Bloodlines came out and the level of excitement I was seeing. I realized just how many people have read these books. I have vowed to read them this summer and I plan on sticking to it!
2. Daughter of Smoke and Bone series by Laini Taylor
I have no good reason for not having read these books yet. I mean, I’ve had a copy of Daughter of Smoke and Bone sitting on my shelf for almost 2 years I would guess. Now that it is about to be complete, I should really find the time, huh?
3. Lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Yep, you’re seeing that right. I have not read these books or really any of JLA’s books. *hides* This was the first series that came to mind when I saw this topic. This is one I truly feel alone on for having not read yet. I do love Pepe and how wonderful he looks on these covers though! Someday, I swear.
4. The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer
Another series I feel like everyone has read but me! Funnily enough, I even have personalized copies of the first two books but alas, they are still waiting for me on my shelf. I sincerely hope I can find the time for these this year.
5. Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas
I’ve heard such amazing things about these books! I love the concept so I hope to read these books at some point. Perhaps after the third novel is released?
6. His Fair Assassin series by Robin LaFevers
This is one of those series where I am sure there are a lot of readers who haven’t read it yet but one I feel like in the blogging community is well-known and well-liked. It’s honestly not something I would typically look into but all of the reviews and talk has me wanting to give them a try. And once again, guess who has the first two books, personalized, and sitting on their bookshelf already?
7. Me Before You by Jojo Moyes
I really, really, really want to read this one! I’ve heard amazing things from fellow bloggers and my friends yet I haven’t gotten around to it yet!
8. Hopeless by Colleen Hoover
I really enjoyed the Slammed series when I read it and I’ve heard these books are amazing too! Lots of recommendations come with these books.
9. almost anything written by Sarah Dessen
I’ve only read one Sarah Dessen novel, Along For the Ride. It was cute but I wasn’t blown away so it’s kept me from checking out the others. But I am always seeing her books mentioned and recommended, especially in the summetime. Perhaps I need to revisit?
10. anything written by Jane Austen
Okay, don’t shoot me here. But I’ve read nothing by Jane Austen. Ever. Pride & Prejudice? Nope, never read, not even in school. Any of the other classics? Nope, not those either. I’m almost embarrassed to admit that. I do like the sounds of Persuasion and would love to give that a shot someday. I need to broaden my horizons.
I’m pretty sure there are a million other books that make me feel like the only person who has never read it but these are the ones that stand out. Hell, I didn’t even touch upon series I’ve started without finishing. lol What about you? Any books or series that make you feel this way too?
