From New York Times Bestseller, Corinne Michaels, comes a sexy new STANDALONE romance novel.

I’m not a one-night stand kind of woman. I’m especially not the woman who has a few drinks at a concert and ends up in bed with my childhood celebrity crush, Eli Walsh.

However, that’s exactly where I find myself.

What’s a girl to do after a drunken mistake? Run. I grab my clothes and get away from the powerful, irresistible, and best-sex-of-my-life superstar as fast as I can. His gorgeous green eyes, rock-hard body, and cocky smile have no place in my world. My life is complicated enough.

Someone forgot to tell him that.

Eli is relentless. Pushing his way into my heart, wearing me down, proving he’s nothing like I assumed, and everything I need. But when my world shatters to pieces, he holds the broken bits together. Unwillingly, I fall desperately in love with him.

He made me think we’d have forever . . . I should’ve listened when he said we could only own tonight.

This was a really fun romance! I was hooked right from the beginning with a story that left me smiling and laughing in one minute, swooning in the next, and then holding back tears moments later.

Heather and her friends find themselves with front row concert tickets to the boy band they’ve loved since they were teens. Of course I’m instantly transported in time to my NKOTB days as a pre-teen and feeling extremely nostalgic and I just know many readers will feel the same. I could not stop the smile on my face with all the excitement and perhaps some embarrassment these girls had, and when Heather catches the eye of her boy band crush, the night turns into one that neither of them can forget.

But Heather’s life is quite complicated as she is balancing the care of her terminally ill sister and her career as a police officer. She doesn’t feel like she has time for romance and honestly doesn’t feel deserving of Eli’s attention. But he is the persistent type, and I liked that about him. But most of all, I loved how incredibly supportive and compassionate he was, and in ways I didn’t expect, and I love when a character can surprise me. There were some seriously swoony times between these two and their chemistry was undeniable.

I also did not expect the emotional roller coaster I would find myself on when I started it but man oh man did I feel a whole array of those emotions. Some really deep and meaningful moments were shared between the characters, some I expected and others that were a little more shocking.

My only wish is that Heather had a little more confidence in regards to Eli. Her insecurities in their relationship were something we were constantly reminded of and it felt a little monotonous at times. She had some relationship ghosts to work through and of course being pursued by a well-sought after celebrity would cause some extra anxiety, I just felt like it was overdone a touch.

Romance fans will want to read this one. Anyone who daydreamed about their celebrity crush as a teen will want to read this one. Just make sure to grab some tissues and tuck in!

I would have major reservations about pursuing something long term with a celebrity because of all the outside temptation they have to deal with. But who could resist the lure of a teenage crush? Lol! Sounds like Eli was a nice guy, too. Wonderful review, Sara! I’ll have to check this out. 🙂

You know, I think I have like 4 books by Michaels and have yet to read them. If her other books are as good as this one, I should really make more of an effort. I love fun romances, and I am intrigued by the cop who is caring for her dying sister, but also fangirling over this guy.
