‘Waiting On’ Wednesday (126): Give the Dark My Love by Beth Revis

**Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted at Wishful Endings to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by the fabulous Jill at Breaking the Spine. **

Title: Give the Dark My Love
Author: Beth Revis
Publication Date: September 25th 2018
Publisher: Razorbill

Summary from Goodreads:

When seventeen-year-old Nedra Brysstain leaves her home in the rural, northern territories of Lunar Island to attend the prestigious Yugen Academy, she has only one goal in mind: learn the trade of medicinal alchemy. A scholarship student matriculating with the children of Lunar Island’s wealthiest and most powerful families, Nedra doesn’t quite fit in with the other kids at Yugen, who all look down on her.

All, except for Greggori “Grey” Astor. Grey is immediately taken by the brilliant and stubborn Nedra, who he notices is especially invested in her studies. And that’s for a good reason: a deadly plague has been sweeping through the North, and it’s making its way toward the cities. With her family’s life–and the lives of all of Lunar Island’s citizens–on the line, Nedra is determined to find a cure for the plague.

Grey and Nedra continue to grow closer, but as the sickness spreads and the body count rises, Nedra becomes desperate to find a cure. Soon, she finds herself diving into alchemy’s most dangerous corners–and when she turns to the most forbidden practice of all, necromancy, even Grey might not be able to pull her from the darkness.

Why I Can’t Wait: Alchemy, necromancy, danger, romance – this book has a lot to offer and to pique my interest. The cover is absolutely gorgeous, I’m in love with the title, and I’m excited to see how the story unfolds.

The cover is so pretty on this one! I’ve really enjoyed a few of her books in the past, so I’ll have to check this one out, too!

I just saw buzz for this book this week, and I’m definitely looking forward to it! I haven’t read a book by Beth Revis in quite some time, but I have high hopes. Plus, the synopsis completely sold me. At first it sounded like a standard fantasy, but necromancy? Consider me sold! Thanks for sharing Sara!
