Falling For You by Lisa Schroeder

Expected Publication Date: January 1st 2013

Publisher: Simon Pulse

From Goodreads:

Rae’s always dreamed of dating a guy like Nathan. He’s nothing like her abusive stepfather—in other words, he’s sweet. But the closer they get, the more Nathan wants of her time, of her love, of her…and the less she wants to give.

As Rae’s affection for Nathan turns to fear, she leans on her friend Leo for support. With Leo, she feels lighter, happier. And possessive Nathan becomes jealous.

Then a tragedy lands Rae in the ICU. Now, hovering between life and death, Rae must find the light amid the darkness…and the strength to fight for life and the love she deserves.

Why I Can’t Wait: There is just something about this type of realistic fiction that pulls me in. Maybe I like seeing a character overcome obstacles and truly grow from their experiences, I don’t know, but this one sounds really intense and has me rooting for the good guy already! And seriously guys, THAT COVER!! Definitely a head turner, WOWZA!

What are you waiting on this week? Links if you got them! 🙂

I love that cover as well! I totally agree with you thought that there is something that pulls you in about characters overcoming obstacles and growing from their experiences, so I’m excited about this one!(: I’ll have to add it to my TBR-Shelf for sure – great pick! 😀

Awww, what a sweet sweet SWEET cover! I have this weakness for scenes in movies with rain (it just makes everything more dramatic!), and I don’t think it’s any different with books and their covers! x) I don’t read much realistic fiction, but I’ll have to add this one to my list considering you loved it so much 🙂

Awesome pick for your WOW this week, Saraaaaaa! <3

Oh I sooo agree with you! I absolutely adore contemporaries and real life books because they’re always so much more meaningful than paranormal’s and dystopia’s! Plus, the character in them are a lot easier to relate to which is always something I love. So I’m really excited for this one as well! I don’t usually care for love-triangles but this one sounds really sweet x) Thanks so much for sharing and stopping by!
